Make a photo less than 100 KB
Some application portals and online forms have very small image limits. The tool starts at a 100 KB target on this page. Select your photo, process it, and check whether the result is within the limit before uploading it elsewhere.
Why is a 100 KB limit harder?
High-resolution photos have much more detail than a 100 KB file can usually preserve. The app tries lower JPEG or WebP quality first, and then progressively smaller pixel dimensions. For a clean profile photo, a tighter crop of the subject before compression can preserve clarity better than shrinking the entire scene.
If your photo is still above 100 KB
Try the WebP format if the target website accepts it. If it needs JPG, choose JPG under Advanced Options. PNG can be far less suitable for photographs. For strict byte limits, use 95 KB as a safety margin.
Does this tool always create a file smaller than 100 KB?
No. Complex images, transparency and specific format requirements can prevent it. Every result shows its actual size and a warning when the target is missed.
